It is a small business called “KLT Bookkeeping and BAS Services” in Horsley, NSW. As a professional bookkeeper, I help my clients keep their financial records accurate, organized, and in line with tax regulations. My services include tracking cash flow and expenses, preparing financial statements, handling bank reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, basic payroll management, and providing tax support, among other tasks.
What were you doing before you made contact with Many Rivers? Why did you want to go into business?
I got my qualification a couple of years ago. But I didn’t have the knowledge to start a business so when I met Shelley, she helped me start it. I am working full time as a health worker delivering awareness commodities. I work at NSW health as well.

I met Many Rivers business coach, Shelley at a networking event and since then she has been helping me with my business journey. I received business coaching and a start-up loan to start my business.
Why did you want to go into business?
I always passionate about accounting and bookkeeping and with my business I want to share my accounting knowledge and services to benefit others who are struggling with managing their accounts.
Did you get a loan from MR? How did you use the loan?
Yes, I did receive a loan from Many Rivers, and it was really helpful as a start-up capital.
What did you find the most useful about the assistance from Many Rivers?

Do you have any current employees? If so, how many employees? Are they full-time or part-time?
No, my business is still quite young so its just me managing everything right now.
Biggest Challenge
Probably marketing is the biggest challenge for me. I need to create more awareness about my business in order to attract more clients.
Biggest Success
I would say getting started with my business has been my biggest success. Without MR, I wouldn’t have ever started my business.
Biggest Change
To be honest, I haven’t seen so much change as of yet as I just have one client at the moment. But once I have more clients and I am able to quit my other job, it will be a great lifestyle change as I will be working for myself and will have the flexibility to work on own preferred timings.
Future Goals
My short-term goal is to have at least three clients. In the long-run, I want to quit my other job and just focus all my time and attention to my business.
