Leader Biography

I am an experienced lawyer, mediator, consultant, and leader with more than 25 years of experience across government, resources, energy, renewables, and infrastructure. I have built my career bridging business priorities and community aspirations, with deep expertise in commercial strategy, governance, complex negotiations, and project approvals. In addition to my corporate and advisory work, I serve on the Board of the Wakaman Kung Kung Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC, where I am passionate about strengthening governance and supporting sustainable economic opportunities for community. I am known for my purpose-led leadership, collaborative approach, and commitment to achieving meaningful outcomes for people and Country.

Community Economic Work

Our community, through Wakaman Kung Kung Aboriginal Corporation, is focused on building sustainable economic opportunities that support long-term independence while protecting our cultural heritage and connection to Country. Current and emerging areas of work include land and tenure resolution, cultural heritage management, environmental and conservation initiatives, and partnerships with the resources, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors operating within or near our traditional lands. We are also exploring opportunities in cultural tourism, ranger and land management programs. A key priority for us is strengthening governance and building the capability of our Prescribed Body Corporate so we can develop and lead our own projects, create employment pathways for our people, and ensure economic benefits flow back to community in a sustainable and culturally appropriate way.
