Meet Faith Labaro
Meet Faith Labaro, the driving force behind Nourish Oils. She is a devoted single mother of six, a wellness formulator with a background in nutrition, and a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. Nourish Oils was born from Faith’s own journey of deep renewal and her belief that true wellbeing requires care for the body, mind, and soul.
Drawing on her studies in nutrition and lifelong connection to natural wellness, Faith handcrafts Nourish Oils using carefully selected, Australian-sourced botanicals, creating products free from harmful additives. As a mother, Faith believes that caring for ourselves is essential to caring for others, and this belief sits at the heart of her business. Through Nourish Oils, Faith is not only building a wellness brand, but also creating social impact, with every purchase supporting women as they rebuild their lives through meaningful advocacy initiatives.

Starting her business
I started Nourish Oils about a year and a half ago. The business creates handcrafted body and massage oils, and it really came from a place of wanting to start something for myself after many years of motherhood. Wellness has always been part of my life. I studied nutrition at university in the Philippines, and my mum was a massage therapist, so natural products and oils were something I grew up with.
After spending years focused on raising my children, I felt inspired to turn that passion into a business. I began experimenting with different oil blends and learning what worked best, eventually creating products that I felt confident sharing with others.
Working with Many Rivers
I first heard about Many Rivers through APM, while completing one of their programs. They mentioned Many Rivers as a pathway for financial support and business capital, which really stood out to me as I was starting out.
Working with Many Rivers has been incredibly valuable, especially because of the ongoing support. Shelley has been amazing whenever I need help, whether it’s with tax, marketing, training, or business decisions, she either has the information or connects me with the right people. Many Rivers also helped me tremendously with the financial side of the business, making it possible to get my business properly established and moving in the right direction.
Biggest Challenge
The biggest challenge for me has been cash flow. Like many small and new businesses, managing finances in the early stages can be difficult. It’s an ongoing learning process, and while there are solutions available, it’s something I continue to work on. Shelley has supported me a lot in understanding cash flow and improving my financial knowledge.
Biggest Success
One of my biggest successes has been starting everything from scratch and getting my products to market. Producing the oils, building the brand, and having a finished product to sell was a huge milestone. Another big success has been getting Nourish Oils stocked in a few stores and collectives. I also receive a lot of repeat customers, which tells me that people genuinely like and trust my products. That feedback means a lot to me.
Biggest Change
Starting Nourish Oils has helped me regain confidence and rediscover my sense of identity. Coming to Australia and experiencing domestic violence had a big impact on me, and starting a business allowed me to start dreaming again. It became a healing journey for me personally.
My children have also been part of that journey. They get excited when they see Nourish Oils stocked in stores and proudly tell their friends about it. Seeing that pride and excitement has been incredibly rewarding.
Future Goals
In the future, I would love for Nourish Oils to be used all over Australia, and eventually in the Philippines as well. I want to continue growing the business, increasing sales, and approaching more stores to stock my products.
Long term, my goal is to turn Nourish Oils into a social enterprise that creates flexible employment opportunities for women, particularly single mums and women coming out of domestic violence. That purpose is a big part of why I started this journey, and it’s what continues to motivate me.
