What do we do?
Many Rivers is an aboriginal support service that works with you over the long-term offering support to start, maintain and grow a business idea. With this Indigenous support service, you can gain control of your financial future. Reduce personal stress. Move away from welfare dependency. Provide for your family, play a role in your local community and help support Indigenous employment.
How does it work?
Our Business Coaches live and work in your communities and spend as much time as required with you to help you gain the skills and knowledge to start and sustain your business idea. Our team can help with:
- Understanding and meeting business registration and insurance requirements
- Market research and marketing ideas
- Risk analysis
- Review of cashflow and bookkeeping support
- Establishing links with customers and suppliers
- Pro bono legal advice
- Indigenous funding for small business – access to microfinance loans to help get the business started – based on an assessment of the individual’s character, capacity and cashflow
Who can receive help?
Most often, the people we work with identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and have and idea for or an existing business they want to expand.
