Community Economic Development Manager | North East Australia
Tim has joined Many Rivers to serve as the Community Economic Development Manager in the North East Regions. With over 20 years of experience working in remote and Indigenous communities across northern Australia, Tim began his career in the Kimberley Region, leading extended camping tours after earning a degree in Australian Environmental Science. Later, he moved to Cape York to take on a community economic development role, focusing on Indigenous tourism by running cross-cultural tours and training Indigenous guides.
In another chapter of his career, Tim managed the Torres Strait Maritime Pathways Project, working across the 16 inhabited islands of the Torres Strait. More recently, he spent time in East Arnhem Land advancing community fisheries projects and managing Indigenous Protected Areas in Cape York.
Based in Cairns, Tim enjoys travel, adventure, and the great outdoors.
