David brings over two decades of experience in Indigenous health, employment, and community enterprise development, having worked extensively across most of Australia. His career highlights include leading region-wide initiatives, such as Apunipima’s Health Action Teams across 11 Cape York Aboriginal communities, the first Defence Indigenous Development Navy Program in Australia and serving as Operations Manager for Community Enterprises Australia, the not-for-profit enterprise development arm of the My Pathway Group.

In addition to his professional experience, David has a strong business background as an owner-operator, contractor, and Director of an Indigenous not-for-profit. While his long-standing relationships in Cape York and the Torres Strait reflect his deep commitment to these regions, he is now fully dedicated to fostering close connections and making a meaningful contribution in Western NSW. David’s three children are of Aboriginal descent, adding a personal connection to his work with Indigenous communities.
