Lisa Blainey
Microenterprise Development Manager | Bundaberg, QLD
Lisa has led a varied and interesting life, growing up across three countries. With her formative years spent in New Zealand, she developed a deep appreciation for the land, the Traditional Owners, and the culture. Her love of art, design, creativity, and wellness stems from this early connection.
Professionally, Lisa has extensive experience working with multimillion-dollar businesses, government departments, and major media organisations. She has contributed to high-level strategic work in marketing, communications, and events, and later brought this knowledge into the small-business sector through consulting and running two small businesses of her own.
She worked in the wellness industry for 8 years, contributing to the rapid expansion of a business that grew across the Asia‑Pacific region. Lisa also founded a marketing agency in Maleny, developing campaigns, food tours, magazines, and events that strengthened the local food community.
She brings logical systems thinking, creativity, hustle, and a strong ability to move ideas into reality. She holds postgraduate qualifications and is currently studying business management and social impact measurement.
Now in her third year with Many Rivers as the Microenterprise Development Manager for Bundaberg and the North Burnett, she is passionate about capacity building and creating opportunities for people to try new things, build confidence and develop new skills.
