Before you notify us
Please provide a copy of the ‘Proof of death’ as formal notification to Many Rivers, including:
- Death Certificate
- Doctor’s Medical Certificate
- Funeral Bill
- Solicitor’s or Coroner’s Letter
- Grant of Probate
- Letters of Administration
- Probate Bond.
You will also be required to provide your proof of identification and relationship to the deceased or authority to represent the estate.
Notifying us
You may contact your partner’s Many Rivers Microenterprise Development Manager, if known. Alternatively, the Many Rivers Client Support Team will assist in providing guidance about the process. We accept documents emailed directly to us – as long as they have been certified as true copies.
What happens next?
Once you notify us and provide at least one of the Proof of Death documents we will place on hold all standing loan repayment Direct Debits. A member of the Client Support Team will contact you within 10 working days to discuss the situation. Where the loan was solely in the name of the deceased the loan balance outstanding may be forgiven. Joint loan holder(s) will need to continue repaying the loan which may continue to accrue interest on the account until the loan is finalised.
