Jannice’s Business
I specialize in First Nations healing methods and spinal flow therapy. My goal is to help people release stress and trauma from their bodies. By gently manipulating the spine, I create a spinal wave that promotes deep healing and relaxation. I offer my services both through home visits and from a shared space in Sydney metropolitan. My approach is based on the science of anatomy and the nervous system. It’s a simple but effective way to address pain, disease, and illness.
Over the years, my technique has helped many people recover from issues like headaches, neck pain, disc injuries, digestive problems, stress, and depression. Let me assist you on your journey to feeling better and finding relief. My mission is to aid humanity, particularly those suffering from anxiety and depression. Spinal flow technique calms the mind and creates pathways to healing. During the initial visit, I conduct consultations and analyse the spine, which takes about 45 minutes. Subsequent sessions are typically 40 minutes long.
I recommend a minimum of two sessions per week, as stress in the spine accumulates over time. Many of my clients opt for weekly sessions, but ideally, two to three sessions per week are recommended, especially for middle-aged and older women.
Working with Many Rivers
Prior to starting my own business and reaching out to Many Rivers, I spent 32 years working in the corporate sector. For 27 of those years, I worked at a local council in their library service. Before that, I worked in a corporate company for 5 years. When I turned 50 in January 2023, I decided to make a big change in my life as I wanted freedom. I got certified in spinal flow therapy and decided to completely shift my career path by starting my own business.
I found out about Many Rivers through a Facebook advertisement. I would say the most useful assistance has been my business coach, Ricky. He makes me think outside the box. He breaks things and ideas down into three months goals. He gives me a lot of tips on where I should market myself and my business. Ricky and I feel that I need to focus more on the marketing of my business. To be honest, sometimes I feel a bit alone and isolated in the business at the moment since I am doing everything all by myself.
“My business coach, Ricky has helped me with the marketing strategy, cashflow and business plan. During our calls, we talk about many things. My business goals, target audience and marketing plans. We talk about everything. I am grateful to always having Ricky besides me as my business coach.”
Did you get a loan from MR? How did you use the loan?
No, I didn’t get a loan from Many Rivers.
Do you have any current employees? If so, how many employees? Are they full-time or part-time?
It is just me running my business.
Biggest Challenge
For me, it’s been marketing. I’m keen to get into markets, and Ricky advised me to reach out to businesses. He also suggested focusing more on social media marketing. One idea is to offer sessions at markets and festivals for around $35. I’m thinking about attending Mind Body Spirit festivals too. The goal is to meet more people and spread the word about my business.
Biggest Success
For me, it’s the freedom and flexibility. In the corporate world, I felt trapped without much freedom. Being in business for myself feels empowering. It’s all about following my purpose and passion. I didn’t enjoy the micro-management of a 9-5 job, so this shift has been liberating. Since starting my own business, I feel that I’ve been learning a lot. It’s like my mind is expanding in ways I never imagined.
Biggest Change
The freedom and work life balance that I enjoy now has been the biggest positive change. My elderly parents feel grateful for my flexible business timings as now I can take them for their doctor appointments.
Future Goals
In the long run, I aim to organize and manage retreats both in Australia and globally. I also dream of establishing my own clinic. Additionally, I would love to open a healing centre and participate in markets and stalls. Moreover, continuing my studies and personal development is crucial to me. I plan to explore different healing modalities and offer online services and phone consultations. One of my goals is to provide spinal energetics sessions online as well.
