BROSISCUS is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned jewellery and accessory company founded by Jayde Geia. A fusion of “Brothers, Sisters, and Cousins,” the brand is a celebration of family, culture, and community.
What started five years ago as a simple dream to build a family business has grown into a purpose-driven enterprise built with passion, dedication, and the support of community. Today, BROSISCUS continues to celebrate culture through quality jewellery and accessories while creating a lasting legacy for family.

Background & Business Journey
BROSISCUS started 5 years ago with a simple dream, to build a family business that celebrates culture. From day one it’s been a love job. BROSISCUS has been built around full-time work and weekends, squeezing in design work and getting out to local markets. What has carried the business this far is love for the craft, paired with the incredible support of the community.
Family is at the heart of everything, it’s what motivates us to keep growing BROSISCUS. This started as a dream to build something for the family, and that’s still the driving force behind every decision. Growing the business means more than just bigger numbers, it means creating something lasting that celebrates our culture and that the family can be proud of for years to come.
Journey With Many Rivers
I approached Many Rivers because I was looking to move into BROSISCUS full time and scale the business up. After 5 years of building it around full-time work and weekends, I was ready to take the next step, and I needed guidance and support to make that transition properly and set the business up to grow sustainably.
The planning workshops and tools gave me the confidence to finally take the leap and move into BROSISCUS full time. Tito was a huge part of that. He helped me sit down and actually write out my plans properly, rather than just having them in my head. Working through my numbers with him gave me a clear picture of where the business really stood, and that clarity is what gave me the confidence to take the risk.
Before the program, BROSISCUS was very much a love job, something I did on weekends around full-time work. Since joining, my mindset has shifted to thinking more professionally, like a real business owner rather than someone running a weekend passion project. I look at growth, income, and employment differently now, with proper planning and numbers behind decisions, rather than just doing it out of love and hoping it works out.
The most valuable part has been working directly with Tito, finalising my business plan and financial plan, and setting real deadlines to work towards. Having someone to hold me accountable and help turn my ideas into an actual structured plan made all the difference. It’s given me a clear roadmap instead of just working things out as I go.
Business Growth & Impact
The program has had a real impact on both me and BROSISCUS. Personally, it’s changed how I think. I now approach the business professionally, like a real business owner, rather than treating it as a weekend love job. Working with Tito to finalise my business and financial plans, and set proper deadlines, gave me the clarity and confidence to finally move into the business full time and take the risk to scale up.
For BROSISCUS, that’s meant a shift from something built around the edges of full-time work to a business with a clear plan, real numbers behind it, and a solid foundation to grow from, while still staying true to what it’s always been about: family, culture, and community.
When I started BROSISCUS 5 years ago, I wanted to build a family business that celebrates culture through quality jewellery and accessories. Looking back, I feel like I’m well on track to that original goal, and in some ways further along than I expected, especially now that I’ve taken the leap into full time.
What’s changed isn’t the heart of the goal. Family, culture, and community are still at the centre of everything, but how I’m going about reaching it. I used to think of growth in terms of just working hard and hoping it paid off. Now, with proper planning, clear numbers, and real deadlines, I’m approaching those same goals with a lot more structure and confidence than when I first started out.
Sustainability and employment will always be an ongoing challenge. Making sure the business can support itself and, in time, support others, is something I keep working towards. Balancing that creative, story-driven side of the business with the practical realities of running and growing it sustainably is the ongoing challenge I’m working through.

Future Goals & Advice
The next steps for BROSISCUS are focused on developing new products, scaling the business up, and creating employment opportunities for family. Growth for me isn’t just about numbers, it’s about building something that can eventually support and involve the people closest to me, which brings it right back to why I started BROSISCUS in the first place.
I feel hopeful that I will achieve my goals.
I’d tell other Indigenous business owners to get involved with Many Rivers. Having someone like Tito in your corner to help you plan properly, understand your numbers, and set real deadlines makes a huge difference. It gave me the confidence to move into my business full time and start scaling up, something I don’t think I would have done on my own.
