Janita Connolly has over 35 years experience working in remote regions, she has worked and lived on communities in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Western Australia. She has a vast experience with delivering Money Management (assisting Indigenous Australians in Financial Literacy), managing a local crew of men in Oenpelli building houses as part of the SIHIP Program in Oenpelli NT, and various other frontline roles.
Janita went to primary school and high school in Kununurra and returned there over 3 years ago to live, she has maintained connections and has a great network in the region and various communities. Janita is an indigenous mother of 5, grandmother of 7 and chair of Munda and Wanna Mar Aboriginal Corporation in SA and is passionate about upskilling the disadvantaged and supporting integrational change.
She has joined Many Rivers as the Microenterprise Development Manager in the East Kimberley, WA and is based in Kununurra.
