Jessie began her career in tourism, which led her to working in Mongolia where she developed her interest in tourism as a pathway to community economic development. After returning to Australia, she lived and worked in remote Indigenous communities in Arnhem Land and the Kimberly where she was a Business Manager/Mentor for a community owned tourism business. She moved to Tasmania with her family 9 years ago and has held roles in investment attraction and facilitation at the Office of the Coordinator-General. More recently, she worked in communications for a natural resources management organisation and started her own pottery business.
Jessie has joined Many Rivers as the Community Economic Development Manager and she will bring diverse skills and experiences from various fields, including the travel industry, university marketing, small business, investment attraction and communications.
