Kristy is an active member of the South Burnett and Gympie regions with decades of experience in business development and stakeholder engagement gained through a diverse career, including owning her own multi award-winning business in Beauty Therapy, and working across private and public sectors supporting business development. In 2022, Kristy was humbled to be awarded Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network (QWRRRN) Community Builder of the Year for her work in building and connecting organisations to market.
For the past 10 years, Kristy has worked in Economic Development, supporting business development within the South Burnett through her roles in local government, volunteering for multiple organisations in her effort to support Food and Agritourism Development and as General Manager of Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation. Kristy is committed to individual, business and community mentorship and capacity building. She is passionate about connecting people with people, people with ideas and people with opportunities. She firmly believes, when a network is paired with good business practice and constructive culture, that’s when we will see real and sustainable growth of our communities.
Kristy has joined Many Rivers as the Microenterprise Development Manager for the Gympie/South Burnett region.
