Working for Many Rivers
“We work with individuals who are looking at creating businesses.”
“The Hunter is a small country town and it paints the perfect environment for small businesses. We can access our own businesses we can service ourselves we can grown our own communities.”
“My son was interviewing me for his school project. One of his questions was ‘what is your greatest success in your job?’ My answer to him was that its not about me. It is not my success, I’m not the one out there working day in day out in a business. The success is the success of the individual. I get to see that growth and that success but its not my success.”
“I work for an organisation that has products and services that can help people move to where they want to be in their lives. That’s my role. Supporting small business is proving an opportunity that is more sustainable for the individual, the household and the community. I feel incredibly grateful every time I sit with somebody and they expose themselves in a way which I think most of us are quite cautious about showing.”
Many Rivers Clients
“As you get to understand a person you get exposed to a lot of complexities in peoples lives. My main focus is to look at their business and how we can help them move forward in their world.”
“It all focuses around belief. So belief in themselves, belief of the idea that they have and belief that they can make it.”
“Diane and David come to me and I took some time and sat down with them and looked at their business. I thought these people have so much passion and drive for what they want to do. They believe in their community and they believe in their ability. And that’s half the battle of small business. I think the support that I have been proving them besides their financial guidance has really been emotional support.”
“I look at the relationships that I have with the people I work with and I can honestly say that I am going to learn as much from this journey as you’re going to get from me.”
